Through this seminar series, participants will explore these issues from an Islamic perspective, with topics including medical assistance in dying (MAID), end-of-life care, organ donation, reproductive health, emerging medical technologies, and more. Each seminar combines Islamic scholarship with clinical expertise to provide practical guidance for navigating ethical decisions in patient care.

Annual Bioethics Conference

Join a first-of-its-kind collaborative forum that brings together experts in medicine and Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) to explore contemporary questions in Islamic bioethics. Designed for physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, healthcare administrators, and students, this annual conference provides a practical understanding of how Islamic principles can guide ethical decision-making in healthcare.

Explore a collection of white papers developed in collaboration with the Canadian Council of Imams (CCI) that address contemporary bioethical issues affecting Muslim patients and healthcare professionals.
