…“and whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity”

Qur’an [Al-Mai’dah 5:32]

Have you ever been in a medical emergency situation, or wondered what you would do if someone was having a heart attack, stroke, choking, or a seizure? 80% of cardiac arrests occur in the home. Knowing lifesaving skills like CPR, how to use a defibrillator, and recognizing signs of a medical emergency early can save someone’s life – be that a loved one, a friend, or someone you barely know – until professional help arrives.

Are you interested in organizing a session for your community mosque, Islamic school or organization?

Community Bystander CPR Training

Whether at your local mosque, Islamic school or community organization, we provide bystander CPR training so that community members are comfortable with performing CPR and using an AED in case of a medical emergency.

As of now, this is not an official CPR training course that leads to BLS or ALS certification, although the workshop materials and content are based on resources from the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada and is delivered by trained Muslim medical professionals. All registrants are encouraged to sign up for official CPR courses following these workshops.

Lifesavers

As a member of FIMA, the MMAC participates in Lifesavers – a community education program where on one day in September each year, we join Islamic Medical Associations across the world in delivering free bystander CPR and lifesaving skills workshops at local mosques.
