“…By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you, for by Allah, you keep good relations with your Kith and kin, speak the truth, help the poor and the destitute, entertain your guests generously and assist those who are stricken with calamities.”
Sahih al-Bukhari 4953 [65:475]
We strongly believe in building and promoting healthy and resilient communities. Through several niche, culturally-sensitive and impactful grassroots and digital health education projects, we empower individuals to be better informed and confident advocates for their health issues. We also support communities seeking to improve the health of their constituents, and organizations invested in the health needs of Canadian Muslims.
Have questions about our community projects? Interested in a health seminar for your community?
Through Canada’s premier portal for Muslim mental health and the Inspiring Muslim Minds community education series, we promote mental health awareness, access to Muslim-specific mental health resources, conferences and research.
A collaboration between Muslim health experts, faith and community leaders and organizations to provide culturally-sensitive and evidence-informed health information messaging, guidance, campaigns and other initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Delivered by Canadian Muslim health professionals, these projects help community members make informed decisions regarding their health.

Food Banks and Clinics for Marginalized Groups
We support food banks, soup kitchens and clinics serving the vulnerable including newcomer, refugee and uninsured populations.
CPR Training
Knowing lifesaving skills like CPR, how to use a defibrillator, and recognizing signs of a medical emergency early can save someone’s life – be that a loved one, a friend, or someone you barely know – until professional help arrives.
We support Canadian Muslim organizations seeking medical or health-related guidance or assistance.
We also provide consultations for governments, public health, regulatory bodies, health systems and universities regarding the health needs of Canadian Muslims, or matters pertaining to Canadian Muslim medical professionals.
Prayer Spaces at Hospitals in Canada
Looking for a space to pray your daily prayer, attend Jumuah or reconnect spiritually while at the hospital?
The MMAC has crowdsourced information on prayer spaces in hospitals across Canada, for the benefit of fellow Canadian Muslim healthcare workers and the wider Muslim community.
We understand the importance of health and well-being during your sacred pilgrimage journey.
This page is dedicated to equip you with vital information and resources to ensure a safe and healthy experience while performing Hajj or Umrah, as advised by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
