Who they are
The Canadian-Muslim community is greater than a million strong from the east to the west, and diversity is our greatest strength. As any sub-community within the broader family of Canada, our health care needs present unique challenges that need to be addressed. As Canadian-Muslims, it is our duty to advocate for each other and to create a better future for us all.
What we provide
We serve the community by creating popular community health education events on diabetes, heart and women’s health. We advocate for our community’s specific healthcare needs through the Canadian Muslim COVID-19 Taskforce, and the Islamic Bioethics conference. Along with publishing the Annual Hajj Health guide, working with various community and academic organizations, the MMAC continues to serve the broader Canadian-Muslim community.
