We strongly believe in building and promoting healthy and resilient communities. Through several niche, culturally-sensitive and impactful grassroots and digital health education projects, we empower individuals to be better informed and confident advocates for their health issues. We also support communities seeking to improve the health of their constituents, and organizations invested in the health needs of Canadian Muslims.
Mental Health Awareness and Resources
Through Canada’s premier portal for Muslim mental health and the Inspiring Muslim Minds community education series, we promote mental health awareness, access to Muslim-specific mental health resources, conferences and research.
Canadian Muslim COVID-19 Task Force
A collaboration between Muslim health experts, faith and community leaders and organizations to provide culturally-sensitive and evidence-informed health information messaging, guidance, campaigns and other initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Community Health Lectures and Workshops
Delivered by Canadian Muslim health professionals, these projects help community members make informed decisions regarding their health.
In-person Lectures – at the local mosque or community centre
Community Health Series – virtual fireside discussions with experts on common medical conditions and leading healthy lives
Women’s Health Initiative – workshops and an annual event created by women, to advance knowledge of women’s health issues and resources
Lifesavers – an international initiative that each year teaches community members critical bystander CPR and resuscitation skills
Hajj Health – preventative health and preparation-focused resources for Muslims performing the Hajj pilgrimage.
Food Banks and Clinics for Marginalized Groups
We support food banks, soup kitchens and clinics serving the vulnerable including newcomer, refugee and uninsured populations.
