Who they are

Trainees from across Canada include undergraduate, graduate and medical students at the beginning of their journey, to well-seasoned residents and fellows about to enter the workforce. Whether Canadian or internationally-trained, our trainees look for opportunities to improve their skills and make themselves competitive applicants for the healthcare sector in Canada

What we provide

The MMAC has been a champion of both Canadian and Internationally-trained healthcare workers. We connect trainees with mentors, facilitate peer support groups, produce valuable application guides, and offer medical school and residency application workshops. We also offer research scholarships, employment opportunities through the Canada Summer Jobs program, and extensive online refresher courses. As our trainees move on to full-time careers, they often volunteer with the MMAC to lift up the next generation of Canadian-Muslim healthcare providers
